1060nm Diode laser works by heating the fat cells with a laser to a temperature of 42-47(ºC) degrees to break down the subcutaneous fat cells, damaging their structural integrity, which causes lipolysis or fat cell death. The treated fat cells are permanently destroyed and will not regenerate.

The 1060nm diode laser has a high affinity for subcutaneous adipose tissue. The energy delivered causes molecules in the irradiated tissue to move, generating heat (42°C - 47°C). Structural integrity of fat cell membranes is disrupted, leading to cell inactivation. Dead cells are eliminated via lymphatic metabolism over the following months.
